I was really shocked how effective the alum is; slight manly burn, but stopped the bleeding almost immediately after nicking myself shaving Sunday morning for Latin Mass. Styptic pencils are time savers; instead of tissue paper, which looks quite odd at the Communion rail, I can confidently approach my Lords altar and receive Him and His super abundant Grace with a respectable face. Thanks Grown Man Shave!

Dan Needed another one
Was traveling and needed a new styptic pencil. So I had to go to the mall and the only place that had one was The Art of Shaving. I bought one for $13 - it's all they had. It was about an inch long and started to break down by the second use. I've ordered a new one from Grown Man Shave and can't wait to get it. My Art of Shaving styptic pencil will go in the garbage as soon as my new one arrives.
