This razor is well-made and handsome-looking. It’s not as aggressive as I’d prefer, but that can be changed with blade selection. If you want a stainless 3-piece lightweight heirloom razor that shaves similar to an Edwin Jagger DE89 or a Merkur 34C, this is a great choice! If you want a step up in Aggression/Efficiency, I’d recommend the most excellent Muhle Rocca, which is my favorite stainless 3-piece razor.
Great razor. Very fast shipping. Great price as well.
Glad you like it Michael. I love my 3ONE6 as well.
The 3ONE6 is a visually stunning razor. I have been using it for two months now and I love the closeness of the shave. I have used Gillette Silver Blue, Feather, and Gillette Wilkinson Sword blade in it, and they have all given great shaves. The 3ONE6 is a well constructed and forgiving razor; if cared for, it will last a lifetime. The head and base plate are different than a DE89, and it gives a much closer shave. Prior to purchasing the 3ONE6, I used a DE89 for the last seven years. I have a very heavy, thick, coarse beard and do a two pass shave five days a week. The DE89 was ever so slightly more comfortable, but I would always need to do a good bit of clean up to finish my shave. The 3ONE6 gets it done without the clean up. I strongly recommend the 3ONE6.
