The surface structure of the handle is a modern interpretation of the knurl on the handle of a classic safety razor with an outer shell of the razor features a stylish DLC coating used in automotive racing. The absolute very best materials. The diamond-like carbon layers are many times harder than steel and extremely durable. The honeycomb-like structure not only provides a contrasting accent to the satin-finished stainless steel but is also very tactile, offering excellent grip.

The Muhle companion unisex safety razor was a very mild but effective shave. I had no issues using this on my beard and I have a thick beard. But I also think this would be great for women to shave legs or armpits with also. It’s very mild and the blade is covered on all sides so it would be easy to whip around if using on the body. Very good shaving razor by Muhle.

If you like some excitement in your day, this is the razor for you. This is the most aggressive razor in my collection with considerable blade feel. When used skillfully, it gives me a fantastic shave that lasts. It does take some care and learning, but the results are worth it. When paired with a quality blade, this thing is a force to be reckoned with. I also think it's a good value for the quality and heft.
