A note from Will (creator of Barrister and Mann):
When I was a child, my parents ran a bakery. They made pies, cookies, scones, and various sweet bread, but my absolute favorite thing when the Autumn came was my mother’s pear ginger pie, characterized by three types of ginger, fresh, sweet pears, and if she was feeling fancy, cranberries. It was a lovely treat and went superbly well with a mug of hot cider and a scary movie. She’s still known to make it for me on occasion.
Frankly My Pear shaving soap is my tribute to this pie, a sweet, inviting blend of pear, ginger, lemon, currant, and the lightest touch of balsamic sugar. While not an exact duplicate of the flavor from my memory (fresh pears are a delicacy like no other), it’s a perfect way to greet the cool weather of Autumn, and one of my favorite gourmands to date.
Directions
Wet your shaving brush well, then swirl it around the jar for roughly thirty seconds or until a rich, creamy lather is formed. Continue building the lather by adding water and swirling your brush either on your face or in a lathering bowl. Shave, rinse, and spend your day feeling great.
