Type: Shaving Cream and Soap
Manufacturer: Barrister & Mann
Great shave, the Excelsior lathers nicely. I bought the set due to realatively unanimous praise and its warranted. The soap scent is light, reminding me of a spring garden with an ample ammount of lemon sugar (not zest) sprinkled around. The aftershave kicks it up a notch. It's an instant favorite that I find myself returning to for cool mornings or brunch with the missus. It's a fun, classic, and "springy" nod to the Hitchhiker's Guide.
It was quite good. And what was bleeped was my description of whale v o m i t. And s p e r m whales. Anyway after shaving the night before I had the irresistible urge to re-read Moby ****. (Maybe I should have said D i c k to fool the bleeper - too sensitive?). Regardless I like the Barrister and Mann products though I can't figure out what the image on the cover of the tub is.
I used the Barrister & Mann #42 shave soap tonight. It has a pleasant odor and worked nicely. One ingredient is ambergris. It is a substance produced in the digestive system of ***** whales. It has been called whale mucus and whale *****. It also is used in perfumes and fragrances. It is listed on the cover of the #42 box but not on the list of ingredients on the back. Still I enjoyed shaving with it. Look it up in Wikipedia for an interesting read.
