Nearly a month ago I gifted myself the King Arthur shave kit. The razor is a work of art, a thing of beauty, and a pleasure to shave with. The balance is superb making it easy to get the edge in the proper position to shave. I'm fairly new to using a straight razor and shopped extensively prior to deciding on this one. The wonderful folks at Naked Armor honed my razor for no fee as it was "dragging a bit" out of the box. Now, this razor and the other product in the kit make my daily shave a pleasurable experience. Any ladies looking to get the man in their life a lasting gift, then by all means choose one from Naked Armor. The pricing is great and the customer service is the absolute best of any retailer (online or brick and mortar) I have ever experienced.

First off, let me say this. It is the first time I've used a straight razor, therefore I have nothing to compare this razor to. I'm one of those people that research products before a purchase. Reading reviews, for what they are worth. Most reviews comment on the razor not being sharpe, which was the major cause in less positive reviews. The Kit arrived within a few day after I ordered it. Looked just like the picture, So I guess I can say you get what you order. Again, this is my first straight razor. it was lighter than I expected, looked good no blemishes that I can see. I also received the ceramic scuttle as a Father's Day promotion, and I ordered the stand. All of which appeared to be good quality, time will tell. So, the first thing I did was use the strop and paste to get the blade shave ready. Once again I will say this was my first time using a straight razor. Using small strokes to get the proper angle and pressure, I got a nice close smooth shave. Getting the angles and how to hold the razor to get around your face will take time and practice. I will admit there were a few areas that could have been closer, but again I believe this will come in time it's a learning curve. As for the shape of the Thor razor, you do have to be careful with the tip, but is great for shaping and edging which is why I choose it. I must admit felt nice using a straight razor to shave with. If You are thinking of taking the plunge and try a straight razor shave, I'd say do it. It's a different kind of shave, using a single edge blade to remove your facial hair.

This is my second Naked Armor razor and it is just as good as I expected! The Erec looks so unique; there aren't any straight razors I've come across with scales quite like this one. It was sharp out of the box and well oiled. This thing will last a lifetime. Thanks Naked Armor!

I suffer from very bad proprioception due to injuries sustained during my time in the Marines. Thus a straight razor is a Godsend for me. The weight of it allows the razor to do most of the work, meaning my hand does very little work so there is very little chance of me cutting myself if I am careful. This is a vast improvement over the shavette I had for years with its much lighter weight. Also, because it's the blade is a single blade instead of being inserted, it is easier to keep clean during the shave than a shavette. Last month in April I flew to my son's house to celebrate my 63d birthday. Since I was only there a few days, I only packed a carry-on. That meant a cartridge razor (and I borrowed a quality one) instead of a straight razor since a straight razor isn't allowed in the carryon. What a mistake! I "shaved" an hour before the party, but the women there were asking me why I didn't shave. Even though they hadn't seen me since Christmas, they were still used to a straight razor shave. In the pictures I took, the one in the shirt is 20 hours after the one with me shaving, my face is still smoother in the picture with my shirt on than my face was right after the cartridge shave. I will never make the mistake again to disrespect any woman I care about by shaving with a cartridge razor before I see her, just to save a few minutes at the airport. I enjoy shaving, I am very masculine, and it is a very masculine ritual, and a very masculine skill to be able to get one's face as smooth as a baby's butt. And I've never had a woman object to that. Even when I have a beard, a nice clean cut at the beard line and the rest smooth skin is appreciated. This razor definitely fits the bill. It strops easily, fits well onto a standard 3" strop. I'm 6'3", my hands aren't particularly large for my size, but they are long for my size. The Solomon razor still fits well in my hand, is comfortable to hold, and turns easily as I reposition my hands moving the razor over various spots on my face and neck. I love it.

Recently got my new King Arthur. Very beautiful, artistic and classy! The looks do make you feel kinda special. As with most new razors it needed some touch up on the edge. After that, the feel and weight of this razor was very balanced and smooth on the face. The feeling after a good wet shave is relaxing and looks good. Plus the wife really loves the feel and look. I would definitely recommend taking a look or even purchasing the King Arthur or any of the other razors Naked Armor has.

This came very nicely packaged. So far I really like the way this keeps the lather fairly warm. Very nice looking also! You have to be careful not to get too large of a soap puck or it won’t go down far enough into the dish for you to have room to build lather. Other than that, this was a great addition to my shave routine.

Got my first razor from NA and it was packaged great! I got the Solomon and was very pleased with the way it looked. It appeared to be well constructed. Had a beautiful finish. Went to use it and it pulled a lot. Went to the strop and it improved a lot. Still not shave ready out of the box. After closer inspection I found some quality issues, but got with Laura at customer service and they are awesome! Handled my issue very promptly and resolved everything. I would definitely recommend them for your razor needs. Looking to get one or two more from them

Wow. The first thing that hit me about this razor is the weight. It is substantially heavier than my other razors. And with good reason. The handle is beautiful blue and green, the blade itself has an amazing Damascus pattern. Super great shave and it feels amazing in the hand, due to the shape and the weight. This is my new favorite razor, for sure!

Awesome product! Walked away from straight razor shaving a little over a year ago. Was disenchanted. Took a chance on this razor and I am back! I count the hours between shaves I enjoy it so much. Great product!
