    Great Quality Shave Cream

I am amazed at how this Shave Cream looks like a soap and lathers to a dense rich creamy Shave Cream. Performance is outstanding and Safety Razor blade glide is smooth with minimal friction. No irritation. To top it off the lather is so thick I used it as body soap after my shave and the aromas sustained a good part of the day. I am a happy wet shaver for sure!

    Adequate, not Great

I have an average beard. I decided to try Taylor’s Sandalwood refill because it contains tallow soap, which is preferred in shaving soap. Compared with my previous soap, Henri & Victoria’s Duc de Santal, this soap is firmer and does not lather as easily into a creamy, foamy head. I suspect it may contain less tallow. It is OK, but I will return to H & V when it is finished. Also, the scent is very mild, almost non-existent.
