Unlike modern blade systems, the R41 TWIST foregoes plastic mechanisms. Long-lasting and corrosion-resistant, the chrome choice finish provides incomparable quality and longevity. A premium product that produces a distinctly close and lasting shave.
The safety razor with an open tooth comb was developed specifically for experienced wet shavers, allowing a vigorous, direct shaving technique. The blade is less likely to become clogged by stubble and residues so is generally preferred by men with denser, stronger beard growth.
This Safety Razor will be favored by those who prefer a slightly heavier model, and a more gently attuned safety razor. Unlike the traditional R41, the R41 TWIST’s blade is released with a simple turn of the small wheel found at the base of the handle. The open comb remains firmly attached to the handle and used blades can then be safely removed and replaced.

The Muhle companion unisex safety razor was a very mild but effective shave. I had no issues using this on my beard and I have a thick beard. But I also think this would be great for women to shave legs or armpits with also. It’s very mild and the blade is covered on all sides so it would be easy to whip around if using on the body. Very good shaving razor by Muhle.

If you like some excitement in your day, this is the razor for you. This is the most aggressive razor in my collection with considerable blade feel. When used skillfully, it gives me a fantastic shave that lasts. It does take some care and learning, but the results are worth it. When paired with a quality blade, this thing is a force to be reckoned with. I also think it's a good value for the quality and heft.
