Every year, the Christmas Market of Goslar, Germany opens in late November to international acclaim. Arguably the most famous Christmas Market in the world, the idyllic setting and beautiful forest of lit fir trees have captured the imaginations of artists and dreamers alike for hundreds of years.

Vespers aftershave balm is the product of a specific picture, the image of a quaint mountain town in late December, snow falling gently on the peaked roofs, lights twinkling in the square. As one of the historic meeting places of Lower Saxony, we felt it necessary to incorporate our legendary version of Mousse de Saxe ("Saxon Moss"), in all its velvety darkness, into any fragrance representative of the village. Onto this we layered cranberry, cardamom, balsam, and a fern accord for a spicy-jammy-forest character. Patchouli, rose, sandalwood and bergamot round out the rough edges to produce a scent one might expect to waft from a merrymaking hall on a chill evening. Vespers is the ultimate comfort scent for the dark months and we're very excited to release it this winter.
Please note: The new balm formula is extremely concentrated; we recommend applying a quantity roughly the size of a pea to your face post-shave.
The Balm
Our upgraded and improved alcohol-free aftershave balm is a glorious treat for the skin. Enriched with super-moisturizing kokum and cupaçu butter, hydrolyzed oat protein, and nourishing daikon seed oil, this soothing, moisturizing emulsion will calm irritation and redness and leave your skin feeling moisturized for hours on end.

I just got the B&M Dune-themed 'Melange' shaving soap in the mail last night (P.S. HUGE shoutout to GrownManShave.com for being super responsive and accommodating through a shipping issue due to an error of address on my part. Thank you, Laura!). I was soo excited to get to shave with this soap today as I'm a big Dune fan (the only book I've ever read twice). I was a bit hesitant as I heard it is a very "spice-heavy" soap (for obvious reasons...the spice must flow!), and that's not usually my cup of tea, but man was I wrong! The smell is amazing, definitely stronger than my other B&M soaps, the spice sent filled the bathroom, and I liked it so much that I decided after the shave to neglect my usual B&M Seville aftershave balm because I didn't want to lose that spice sent. It's been about an hour since my shave and I can still smell it on my face - it's terrific! I think I'm going to need to pull the trigger on the Melange balm as well.
If you're a Dune fan or just want to know what it would feel like to shave in the warm desert breeze on the sands of Arakis....then this soap is for you!

As the title says this soap smells almost exactly like Juicy Fruit! The Omnibus base is unmatched on the market currently and I can’t say enough good things about the cushion it provides! Only way for you to understand what I’m talking about is to buy it for yourself and find out!

I think this is spot on for caramel corn if you apply it lightly. If you put too much on, it goes in a different direction and I don't think you want to go there, that's where the bad kernels live. Anyway it compliments the soap nicely.

I bought this initially because of the tie-in to Douglas Adams. I bought it again because I loved the scent. I get Petunias, Lemon, and Sugar in a well blended scent that leaves me feeling refreshed after the shave. Go on, you know you wanna...
42. Of course it is. I own both the splash and now the balm in this scent. I have not used the balm long enough to chose between them but I'll tell you, if you like the soap, you'll like this balm (and the splash). Now I'm off to that restaurant at the end of somewhere... I hope I can afford the gas.
