The unique one-off Boker Damascus gold horn scaled 5/8" straight razor combines hand-selected horn handles and a completely gold-plated 5/8 inch blade made of stainless Damascus steel. This straight razor is absolutely stunning! 100% handmade in Solingen, Germany.
The high-quality appearance of the horn handle is underlined by the use of a third rivet while the Damascus blade is additionally adorned with a Spanish point head. The Spanish head is particularly suitable for extremely precise shaving and beard contours due to its distinctive front-cutting end. The blade is grind is extra hollow with a ridge. The Damascus gold horn straight razor is then dressed for success with a  laser engraving in the blade passage, certificate of authenticity, and noble floating display. 

The Damascus Straight Razors are an absolute highlight in the more than 100-year history of worldwide renown of the high-quality Straight Razors by Boker. The special exclusivity comes from using powder metallurgical, stainless Damascus steel from Sweden. In a very technically demanding and complex process, 180 layers of Damascus steel are created in a sintering process to create the perfect starting material for the fine hand-sharpening of the blades.

The traditional extra-hollow-grind (sound) lets the fine edge carries a tune and lets the beautiful and extraordinarily fine grain of the natural Damascus pattern shine. The 5/8 inch wide blade has a two-sided serration for a safe grip. Boker Damascus Straight Razors are completely hand-made in the Boker knife manufacture in Solingen in a 150-step process. Deliveries include a certificate of authenticity in a refined presentation display with an individual serial number.

The Boker Damascus gold horn straight razor is ready to shave after a few passes on a strop. We recommend you strop your razor after you shave to help to maintain the blade's useful life between honing and keeping the blade shave ready.

Nice Razor

Beautiful scales and ended up shaving well.

The factory sharpening could have been better. I had to put it on the hone much sooner than expected.

Excellent Boker Razor

Productions like a museum quality piece. Didn't even want to shave with it because I was concerned I would mess up how spectacular this blade looks. For just lining up my beard lines this 5/8" handles most excellent. Shaving with this razor is like a hot knife cutting through butter. Couldn't be more pleased. For anything other than lining up my facial hair I use a 6/8" blade or a 7/8" just because they seem to handle more facial hair in less time. I am sure it is all technique but each man will develop a certain preference or technique that works for them.
