Safety razor from Muhle, closed foam edge, stainless steel, silver matt
The stainless steel safety razor with closed foam edge – classic blade
handle made of stainless steel, silver matt
The ROCCA series
A little more modern, and more distinctive than much of what is known from MÜHLE, they are made from the finest and most durable stainless steel. But it has been worth the effort: These products are particularly durable and robust.
The satin or slightly matt finish not only feels good in your hand but is also pleasing to the eye and creates an elegant effect.
Even with all of these new details, ROCCA's heritage is still very evident. The design of this range is a further development of classic MÜHLE models; the name ROCCA (from the Italian for castle or fort) refers to the very best materials – and also to the fact that a Muhle product will last a lifetime and beyond.
Its uninterrupted lines from attachment to base make it both beautiful and practical: Thanks to its ergonomic shape and the surface structure of the handle, it feels good in your hand. As connoisseurs say: It has grip. It turns an everyday ritual into a daily design experience.
We recommend our rust-proof Muhle razor blades which are the perfect match for our safety razors.
How to use
Shaving with a safety razor requires a little practice. The skin also needs some time to grow accustomed to the shave. Getting started will be easier if you follow these instructions:
Moisten the beard area, preferably with warm water, and lather it thoroughly with a brush. The longer you lather the beard, the more easily and gently the hairs can be cut. If possible, use a highly effective moisturizing shaving cream or soap as this will allow the blade to slide over the skin more easily. Make sure that the shaving head and handle are firmly attached to each other, but only tighten the screw to the extent that it can be unscrewed without too much effort.
This ensures that the blade rests at the correct angle. Now begin with the shave. Hold the safety razor at an obtuse angle (approx. 30°) to the skin. Start with the cheeks and allow the razor to slide over the skin, applying gentle pressure. Always shave in the direction of the beard growth (with the grain). When shaving the neck, stretch the skin tight with your free hand. Do not be discouraged by small cuts or grazes. Once you have familiarized yourself with the razor, they will rarely occur.

Type: SAFETY RAZOR
This is one of the most aggressive razors I own. It does a beautiful job but takes some practice. Paired with a good blade, this thing is unstoppable.
Product well made but has learning curve, R41 GS stainless razor
First and foremost, the Muhle R41gs stainless steel is beautiful. The first thing I did when I received this razor was just observe it for 15 minutes. It’s flawless. The craftsmanship and the finish on this razor is second to none, and I truly mean that. I’m still partial to another razor for sentimental reasons but this razor is truly one of the most (likely the most) beautiful I own and I can’t deny it. The size and weight of the stainless steel is awesome and truly a manly man sized razor. Now on to performance; I’ve shaved with this razor twice so far and it’s as much of a beast as everyone says. Paired with feather blades the Muhle R41gs stainless steel gives me the closest shave I’ve ever had. But be warned, this razor (and feather blade combo) is NOT for a beginner. A beginner is likely to turn away quickly from safety razor shaving if he starts out with this razor. Cheers.
