Introducing the Barrister and Mann Full Measure of Man Shaving Soap with an omnibus base. Notably, amongst soap companies who cater to the shaving world, Barrister and Mann has been rather picky about producing tobacco fragrances. It's not that they don't like them; Will still tells stories of the wonderful, plummy aroma of a pack of Camel Turkish Blends that he once bought for a Halloween costume. Really, it's because there are just SO MANY interesting things to try that AREN'T tobacco, and they didn't really get to circle back around to it for a while.

The Full Measure of Man Shaving Soap is inspired by photos of richly appointed libraries, peppered with winged leather armchairs, a glass of fine whiskey, and the smell of aging teak and mahogany wafting from the shelves. Genteel and smooth, the fragrance combines notes of cured tobacco, sandalwood, Mousse de Saxe (whose inky tang suffuses the entire scent like a whispered promise), citrus, vanilla, resins, myrrh, and geranium. This is one of our best "classic" masculine fragrances ever, one to make you feel like enjoying a glass of aged brandy in a bespoke suit before a roaring fire. Simply put, it smells awesome, and so will you. Take advantage of that at your discretion.
Directions
Wet your shaving brush well, then swirl it around the jar for roughly thirty seconds or until a rich, creamy lather is formed. Continue building the lather by adding water and swirling your brush either on your face or in a lathering bowl. Shave, rinse, and spend your day feeling great.

I just got the B&M Dune-themed 'Melange' shaving soap in the mail last night (P.S. HUGE shoutout to GrownManShave.com for being super responsive and accommodating through a shipping issue due to an error of address on my part. Thank you, Laura!). I was soo excited to get to shave with this soap today as I'm a big Dune fan (the only book I've ever read twice). I was a bit hesitant as I heard it is a very "spice-heavy" soap (for obvious reasons...the spice must flow!), and that's not usually my cup of tea, but man was I wrong! The smell is amazing, definitely stronger than my other B&M soaps, the spice sent filled the bathroom, and I liked it so much that I decided after the shave to neglect my usual B&M Seville aftershave balm because I didn't want to lose that spice sent. It's been about an hour since my shave and I can still smell it on my face - it's terrific! I think I'm going to need to pull the trigger on the Melange balm as well.
If you're a Dune fan or just want to know what it would feel like to shave in the warm desert breeze on the sands of Arakis....then this soap is for you!

As the title says this soap smells almost exactly like Juicy Fruit! The Omnibus base is unmatched on the market currently and I can’t say enough good things about the cushion it provides! Only way for you to understand what I’m talking about is to buy it for yourself and find out!

I think this is spot on for caramel corn if you apply it lightly. If you put too much on, it goes in a different direction and I don't think you want to go there, that's where the bad kernels live. Anyway it compliments the soap nicely.

I bought this initially because of the tie-in to Douglas Adams. I bought it again because I loved the scent. I get Petunias, Lemon, and Sugar in a well blended scent that leaves me feeling refreshed after the shave. Go on, you know you wanna...
42. Of course it is. I own both the splash and now the balm in this scent. I have not used the balm long enough to chose between them but I'll tell you, if you like the soap, you'll like this balm (and the splash). Now I'm off to that restaurant at the end of somewhere... I hope I can afford the gas.
