We did not miss this special feature and also implemented it in our Boker 14. The 8/8 inch wide blade not only bears a historical blade etching with partial gilding but also a gilded blade back and tang, which is elegantly decorated by the filigree and detailed laser engraving. The complete polishing of the blade and the serration on both sides of the tang round off the features of this knife.
We have also used historical models as a basis for the material used for the handle. The handle made of dark, slightly transparent acrylic blends harmoniously into the overall picture due to the subtle brass inlay. With authentic Boker stamp in the blade passage, certificate of authenticity, and noble floating display. Handmade by Boker in Solingen, Germany.
All of our razors come with a factory blade on them. They are ready to shave after a few passes on a strop. We recommend you strop your razor after you shave to help to maintain the blade's useful life between honing and keeping the blade shave ready.

This razor is a useful tool, as any razor ought to be. But it is also a beautiful piece of art.The scales and the blade go together in a very complementary fashion.
Really well-made straight razor from Germany. It holds a keen, comfortable edge to shave with. I strop it every day on my leather strop and get a smooth, irritation free comfortable shave. The razor arrived in time.
